“Sales – Business Owner Style”

You work hard to run your small business. But you barely have enough time each week to keep the operation running. Selling, who has time to sell?

Despite the many challenges related to selling, every business owner must find a way to gain and service customers. No customers, no business. But how?

Based on lessons learned from three decades of personal and coaching experiences, this session will share highlights of a simplified selling process designed specifically for small business owners.  Specific tactics and practical tools will be introduced to help participants hit ‘reset’ on their new selling journey.

By the end of this session, you will gain insights into:

  • Selling efficiently by ‘moving’ people
  • Leading the customer through complex buying processes
  • Developing meaningful, long-lasting client relationships

This session will not include: 

  • A complex selling approach requiring full-time attention
  • Cheap customer selling tactics
  • Ways to trick a customer into buying

About the facilitator

Jay’s lifelong passion for education and entrepreneurship is evident in his career choices and other experiences. In addition to teaching and coaching entrepreneurs as a full-time professor at Durham College, Jay is an active entrepreneur and founded the company, P5, with a focus on helping early-stage companies. Based on extensive feedback gained from P5 clients he developed the program, ‘Moving to Sell’, an accelerated and innovative approach to sales for entrepreneurs.  Jay’s key competencies include business strategy, sales, social enterprise development, strategic marketing, and business coaching.
